How to Apply – Simple Steps
Step 1: Create Your Account (First-Time Users)
Click “Applicant Login” and follow the setup process to create your profile. This is a multi-step process – after creating your username and password, click “My Account”to edit/add your information. Your profile works for any job on governmentjobs.com.
Step 2: Choose Your Position
Browse current openings and click on the job title that interests you, then proceed to the “Apply” link.
Step 3: Complete Your Application
Fill out the comprehensive application with all required information. You may also submit your resume, but you must still complete the online application.
Step 4: Submit
Review your application thoroughly, then submit. We’ll contact you via email with next steps.
Application Requirements
Your application must include all relevant education, training, and experience:
- Complete employment history for the past 10 years
- List most recent position first (excluding volunteer work)
- Include each position separately, even with same employer
- Add positions older than 10 years if relevant to the role
- Complete all sections – incomplete applications may be rejected
